According to the processor, my yearling buck weighed about 95 pounds. It was the cleanest kill I think I ever made, high neck, no damage to any meat. I asked for cubed steaks, some sausage and then hamburger. When I got home, I weighed the packages. Weight: just under 12 pounds, of which 2 pounds were fat added to the sausage. While deer 1 was being processed, I took deer 2, a doe (chest shot with some meat loss in rib cage area and back of left front leg just above knee, i.e., a fairly routine chest shot) in for processing.
