Founded in 1958 by Dr. Kenneth Bollens, VMD, North Boros Veterinary Hospital has been family owned and operated for three generations. Today, NBVH continues to practice veterinary medicine with the same philosophy that has allowed the practice to thrive in the North Hills of Pittsburgh for over 50 years. The attentive staff and doctors at NBVH treat patients and their owners conscientiously, taking the time necessary to ensure the best care for you and your pets with a conscious effort to contain costs. In 2005, my cat had an eye ulcer which formed an area of dead tissue on his cornea called a sequestrum. I had to take him to a few different vets until I was finally referred to a veterinary ophthalmologist and the cat had surgery. So, in April of this year when I noticed an ulcer forming on his other eye, I knew IMMEDIATELY that I needed a referral to the ophthalmologist.
