Ling Shu is the name of the earliest Acupuncture Classic Book written at 200 BC, in this book it had set up the foundation of acupuncture; therefore it is also called “Acupuncture Canon”. However, due to the difficulty in understanding classic language and profound theory of it, in the past generations very little portion of it was taught in the acupuncture school, and it results poor practice of acupuncture. For example, most people only know that acupuncture is effective to relieve pain, but in book of Ling Shu, it has recorded many difficult diseases such as Muscular Atrophy; Multiple Sclerosis; Gravis can be successfully treated by acupuncture. Furthermore, Ling Shu also had fully discussion of consequence due to acupuncture malpractice and how to prevent it, few acupuncturist are aware of it.
