About
Welcome to St. John Lutheran Church & School! St. John School was founded in 1956, and has since served the residents of Wheaton, Illinois and surrounding communities. We are an outreach facility that offers programs for preschoolers ages 2-4, and day school program for children in grades K-8. Our school provides a Christ-centered atmosphere that ministers to the whole child. We are accredited by the National Lutheran School Accreditation Commission and fully recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education. Services You Can Expect For Your Child: * Challenged academically by a curriculum that is based upon the guidelines set forth by the State of Illinois. * Loved and cared for spiritually, socially, and emotionally, by teachers and staff who model Christ’s love by example and through classroom lessons. * Taught by highly qualified, experienced teaching professionals. * Ability to participate in a wide variety of extracurricular activities including athletics, choirs, band, chess club, and more. * Looked upon as a unique individual created by God. * Part of a Christian environment that helps children discover, develop, and use their God-given gifts to the glory of Christ the Savior. The St. John Lutheran Church, a liturgical church proclaiming salvation through Christ Jesus, was established in 1865. You’re invited to visit our website and see what’s going on at St. John’s through the power of the Holy Spirit to the Glory of God the Father. We rejoice in preaching and teaching God's Word, receiving His Sacraments, and proclaiming Christ's saving grace for all people. We invite you to join us in celebrating His grace as we worship through music, liturgy and prayer.
