My first encounter with the Better U Fitness studio was back in 1998-99 when he opens on Maine St. I had recovered from a serious illness and was very weak and thin. He worked with me to build up muscles that had atrophied during my immobility. Guiding me to eat healthy was a big part of having the energy to endure the workouts. I admit I was skeptical at first as I had never lifted a weight. Starting out with light weight soon gained me more strength leading to the heavier more intense workouts. Now I am in that retirement stage of life and only spend less than 6 months
