I just moved to Sterling. Whenever I shop for a new mechanic, I act as though I don't know a thing about cars, to see if they will treat me honestly. Firestone in Sterling failed the honesty test. I asked them to change the oil on the car, rotate the tires, and do a state inspection. They failed the car for inspection, claiming that the tread was low on one tire (but it was "close" enough not to fail the car) and that one front brake pad was worn, and that the brake pad had caused the car to fail inspection.
