If you need an appraisal of your home beware of using Fairmount Appraisal. Their appraisal was 10% lower than another appraisal from another professional appraisal firm done less that 45 days earlier. Unfortunately my mortgage company forced me to use Fairmount. Below is what they did to me: They called my town to make sure I had permits for all improvements done in the past.
