The Pianosmith is a family run business. Ken Smith got into the piano business out of necessity. As a young adult he didn’t like the way his piano played and starting tinkering. Now over 20 years later he is a RPT (Registered Piano technician), tunes aurally, has his own piano shop, where he sells pianos and works on them. He managed to talk his wife Mary into leaving the teaching profession and join him in piano business. His sister-in-law Lynn works there too as a technician. With over 40 years of playing Classical and Jazz piano Ken knows what his customer want out of a piano. We sell used pianos and NEW Hailun or Petrof Pianos. We carry digital pianos too! The Pianosmith invites you to come down to the shop and stay awhile. Enjoy making music or listening. I learned so much about pianos just from one visit here. They are so knowledgable. Who knew it took a Mathematician to figure out how to restore one. I will surely buy my next piano here. in the meantime they fixed my old timer up until I can afford the next one.
