I've lived on the upper west side for 2 years now and for 2 years I have brought all my shoe repair/ handbag repairs to them. Earlier this year I brought them a very high end leather bag to fix the strap. It was fixed by the Ukranian guy and 3 months later it re-broke-- right where he fixed it. So I brought it back and asked him to please re-fix it. I expected ZERO problem b/c like I said, I was a very regular customer. The guy adamantly denied that he fixed it!
