I purchased a 200$ chair and I paid extra for the extended warranty. When the chair broke they would not honor the warranty because I did not have the receipt. I told the man when I was buying the chair and he was pitching the extended warranty "I dont buy those because I always loose the paperwork" He told me don't worry about it we have all your information in our computer so you don't have to have any paperwork.
