Review
I saw the Newburyport Crab cake company at a street fair a few weeks ago and thought I'd have some chowder. I was immediately turned off by the strange lumpiness of the chowder (and layer of oil separated on top), but thought it might taste good anyways - it did not. as a result of the scalding hot temperature, the cream had curdled. I asked if this was how it was supposed to be, curdled and lumpy rather than homogenous and creamy, and the salesperson LIED by telling me that that's how boston clam chowder is SUPPOSED TO BE. He even more incorrectly stated
