Dr. Steinberg is a board certified foot & ankle surgeon. He has been a podiatric surgical instructor for 30 years, and served as Chief of Podiatric Surgery for 5 years at Norwegian American Hospital, Chicago. He performs all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including: Bunions, hammertoes, fracture repair, ankle arthroscopy, tendon and ligament repairs, nail disorders, dermatitis, plantar warts, and ingrowing nails. He holds a separate certification in high energy Extracorporeal Shock Wave Treatment for heel pain. Dr. Steinberg also specializes in sports medicine, and is a leader in the design of specific prescription orthotics for specific sports. He is a runner, cyclist, inline skater, water skier, Nordic and alpine skier. He is a former Vail, Colorado ski instructor and is a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America. He is internationally recognized as an expert in custom ski boot fitting, ski boot orthotics, stance alignment and balance.He also works with triathletes doing bike setups and has designed an ultra lightweight bike shoe orthotic that will put more "power to the pedal".
