I always said I never had a bad steak. That was until I went to J&R Steak House in Islip. My Med/Rare T-Bone was cooked Well Done and tasted like leather. The mash potatoes were ice and I mean ice cold. My wife had the Prime Rib Med/Well. One half of the steak was rare and the the other half was over cooked and dried out and the mash potatoes were ice cold. My daughter had the Burger. It was over cooked and the best thing about it she said was the onions. This was my 2nd time at J&R and it will be my last. I have had better steaks at AppleBees and The OutBack.
