I'm excited to announce that Jan's Mobile Grooming now offers pet sitting services on the Peninsula (parts of Hampton and Newport News, Poquoson, and York County)! Pet sitting allows your pets to stay at home, where they are most comfortable, when you have to travel. I treat every pet like it is my own! I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of New Hampshire in 1987. I have experience working with animals in a dairy barn (cows), an animal hospital (dogs/cats), and biotech companies (mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, and goats). I am a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI) and carry pet sitting insurance. I am not bonded because I am a sole proprietor (only my employees would have to be bonded). I would be happy to care for your: cat, dog, reptile, bird, hamster, guinea pig, rat, turtle, other animals by special arrangement, or special needs pet. Prices for once-a-day visits start at $10 for cats or other small pets and $15 for dogs. Twice daily visits for cats or other small pets cost $15 and twice daily visits for dogs cost $20 per day. Larger groups of pets, or a request for a visit longer than 20-30 minutes, will result in a higher per visit base rate. Pets can be groomed while you are away as well upon request.
