Newtown's theater group is standard garden-variety Community Theater, not comparable to professional-regional theater (as in Bristol) or commercial theater (as in New Hope). Taken on its own terms and accepted for what it is, Newtown's offerings are perfectly fine "family friendly" fare. Productions are sanitized mainstream stuff, carefully avoiding anything new, cutting-edge, or seriously thought-provoking -- always guaranteed "G" rated.
