One year ago, my little sister broke her neck and arm in a car accident leaving basketball practice. The ambulance came to the scene. They put a neck brace on her and took her to the ER. There she was seen by a few nurses who took her neck brace off and made her sit up and lay back down before any x-rays were taken. At this time we had no idea that her C1 and C2 had been broken. A specialist was called in and it was about 1 or 2 a.m. before he could get there, and in the mean time she was not given any medicine for the pain. I understand why she was not allowed the medicine
