I was quoted a price over the phone after I told them that I did have a 454 and that it needed to be rebuilt. 2 days after they got my suburban they called me and told me that it would be $600 more because they didn't know it was a big block. I told them forget it, then they told me that I would have to pay them to put it back together. It was towed to their shop because it was already apart!
