Two friends saw the doctor with opposite results. The first one, a dark skinned female in her sixties, was given care for a two dollar donation. Both had the same insurance (medicare), both had the same income (SS) as I had done nonprofit services for both in the past. Sent a white male of the same age in the same month. The male patient was refused care as he didn't have half of the fifty dollar fee that was demanded as condition of the help. The reason given? It would be billed as an emergency room consult.
