Expert calligraphy, 25years, invitations, poems, certificates, logos, custom designs Artistic photography too, portraits, weddings….. Paula (PJ) Teller and her father, Stuart B. Jones, have partnered their art under the name Inkspot Gallery for over 20 years. Paula studied art at both Ithaca College and University of Oregon but swears she got most of her instruction from watching her father. Stuart studied at the Philadelphia School of Industrial Art, majored in Art at Oberlin College studied art in Paris. As an artist, Paula's first passion for mediums include painting and photography. But the greatest enjoyment for her comes from capturing moments for others. Whether it be photographing an event or painting a commission, Paula gets great joy sharing special times with others. She feels there is an artist/designer within everyone so truly enjoys all aspects of commission works. Capturing other people's stories is her personal interest. The creative process of communicating an idea for an image leads to a colaboration that completely causes the outcome. "Often a simple story from a client will change my layout & design concept to accomodate the essence of their excitement about the subject. It is in the communication that I strive to then make the painting or photograph unique to them. Particularly when painting, it's as if the experience of that moment in time is indeed coming back for me to witness." Together, Paula and Stuart go on painting trips each year. Most often they choose Europe, but Bermuda, New Zealand & Australia have provided material just as enjoyable as their other mainstays of the Jersey shore & Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Stuart travels extensively much of the year & records his travels with wonderful sketchbooks. But his true talent comes with his ability to make charcoal faces jump off the page. "I feel very fortunate that I've been able to spend my whole life doing what I enjoy - mainly art-related activities. I enjoy doing portraits most."
