Tampa Bay Grand Prix is an indoor go karting facility with two locations in the Tampa Bay Florida area. This is our Tampa location. Come and race with our electric Italian prokarts that reach speeds of up to 50 mph. We have the fastest karts around! Our Clearwater / St. Pete location has a single track, and out Tampa location has two different tracks. Our tracks are designed for speed and challenge. Compete against friends, family, and other go cart racing enthusiasts. This unique concept is not an amusement ride, it is a real racing experience for adults, and even for children. Speed, competition, and thrills are our specialties! Our facility uses the latest and safest equipment and technology. Improve your lap times with practice, and even keep track with your own personal score sheet printouts! As every race ends, you will receive your personal race results. Even as you are racing, you will be able to view your lap times from a projector screen located right on the track. Tampa Bay Grand Prix is open 7 days a week for the general public. No reservation needed, and walk-in racers are always welcome. Our stop and race prices include different specials every day of the week. For our customer’s convenience, we are open late during the week, and even later on the weekends! Completely indoors, so weather is never a factor! We also take reservations for corporate events, birthday parties, fund raisers, team building, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and any private party. We have private rooms available for your special event. We also offer full facility rentals by the hour. Our event coordinators are available to book your event any time during operating hours. Once a month our facilities hold a League Night competition. This is when all of our best racers come to compete for money, prizes, and bragging rights! Our tracks are available for kids and adults alike. We provide junior go karts for children as soon as they reach 48?. Kids can race in gokarts designed just for them, reaching speeds of up to 25 mph! This is a great way for children to have their very first prokarting experience, and learn the fundamentals of friendly competition. Every child can master the art of go kart racing, and graduate to the adult go carts as soon as they reach 56?. Customer service and satisfaction are a top priority at Tampa Bay Grand Prix. Our facilities are top of the line. Our lobby is climate controlled and the lounge area is equipped with flat-screens for your viewing pleasure, and free Wi-Fi. You can watch races from the lobby, or in our viewing area right next to the track. Tampa Bay Grand Prix has gift cards available all year round. You can order your giftcard online at tampabaygp.com, on our Facebook pages, or over the phone! Every second Saturday of the month, our Tampa location has a Cars, Coffee, and Karting event at 8 am. At this event we have high end show cars and breakfast by Kawa Coffee. This is a free event for the public.

After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1945, Murray M. Jacobs and his new bride, 'Jackie,' left Brooklyn, New York for their new home in St. Petersburg, Florida. They opened "Jackie & Murray's Sunset Beach Playground," where they served hot dogs for 10¢ and a cold beer for only 25¢. During the 2 years of owning & operating the restaurant, Murray found himself reacquainted with his Uncle Mo Bilchick, who had himself retired from the rubber business in Brooklyn. With Uncle Mo's help Murray established his own rubber business in February of 1948 and Goodyear Rubber Products' first storefront was opened at 2734 Central Avenue. The business was a family affair: Murray's mother handled the books, Jackie's dad handled the customers, Jackie herself answered the phone, and young Murray loaded up his station wagon each morning with garden hose, matting, rainwear and gloves, and circled his route of 'Mom-Pop' hardware strores. Murray made monthly rounds North to Port Richey, South to Venice, and East to Lakeland heralding his motto, "If It's Rubber, We Have It!" As the years passed, Murray Jacobs offered his wide range of industrial rubber products to the neighboring cities and counties. The emergence of industry along the West Central coast of Florida inspired Murray to become a key supplier of a wide range of industrial rubber products for the region's growing markets. In 1986 Murray M. Jacobs passed away, and Jackie once again found herself active in the business. With her son, Bob, at her side they began moving toward expansion. Goodyear Rubber Products' first satellite location was opened in 1991 in Clearwater. 1995 saw the opening of the Fort Myers Parker Store, followed by Parker stores in Bradenton and Tampa in 2000.
