House of Prayer Elizabethtown (HOPE) is a joyful and Spirit-filled place where we worship Jesus Christ, learn, and share our beliefs with others. It is the center where all can grow in faith and love and become better equipped to be servants of God. We are a Christian church in the Lutheran tradition. House of Prayer is mission oriented dedicated to walking the way that Jesus gave to meet needs of the community in which we live offering light and hope. We lead and host support groups and classes in life skills to encourage and equip people of the community whether they are members or not to deal with the challenges of everyday life. We seek to be a center for all as the light of Christ works healing and hope. House of Prayer is a warm and friendly worship center where all are welcome. Children have a special place in our hearts. Ours is a center of Christian Education and fellowship for all. We are a joyful people regularly praising God, celebrating the sacraments of Holy Communion and Holy Baptism, and hearing the Word of God. We are a diligent people coming together for fellowship, study, and prayer. We are a committed congregation of Christians of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC). We are a prayerful and nurturing church actively engaged in nurturing, teaching, and sending our people to faithful service and fruitful living.
