NovaCare Rehabilitation of Manahawkin is a multidisciplinary clinic that offers physical therapy, occupational and hand therapy, and work conditioning services. The conveniently located clinic is staffed with 9 licensed clinicians between both physical and occupational therapy disciplines. Physical therapy services are provided by expert clinical staff ranging from 8 to over 20 years of experience in the field. We specialize in the comprehensive treatment of orthopedic and sports related injuries, pre- and post-surgical conditions, neurological dysfunction, and balance and vestibular disorders. Additionally, we have recently initiated a program for lower extremity prosthetic rehabilitation and gait training. Occupational therapy services are provided by our Certified Hand Therapy staff and hand therapy fellows. Our highly skilled hand therapists are proficient in the treatment of hand and upper extremity pathologies. Conditions treated include: arthritis, fractures, tendon injuries, peripheral nerve injuries, crush injuries and repetitive motion disorder. We offer the following services: wound and scar management, edema control, pain control, range of motion exercises, strengthening, static and dynamic orthosis fabrication, and dexterity training. Our injured worker program includes acute rehabilitation, structured work conditioning and simulation, and functional capacity assessment. Our staff is dedicated to excellence in patient care, customer service, and patient education. With an emphasis on the importance of health and wellness in daily living we provide comprehensive treatment programs and extensive home exercise programs for prevention of injury recurrence to reach your rehabilitation goals.
