J&B Wood Products is a lumber remanufacturing facility specializing in high quality pacific hardwoods: Oregon white oak, pacific madrone, California black oak J&B. Founded in 1985, J&B Wood Products, Inc., parent company of Select Wood, is located in the foothills of the Cascade mountain range in southwestern Oregon, just outside of historic Oakland, the second oldest town in Oregon. The mill is located in the middle of the 1000 acre Brownsberger Ranch. The rolling green pastures are home to 60 cow/calf pairs, along with various blacktail deer, wild turkey and Roosevelt elk that feed in the pastures. The main pond, providing water for the livestock, is home to Canadian geese, ducks and some big largemouth bass. Situated in the midst of this picturesque setting, with a backdrop of selectively-thinned 50 year old Douglas Fir, is the mill site. On 8 acres, and half a mile off the main road, the mill comprises 3 production buildings, a 40,000 BF dehumidification dry kiln, a total of 30,000 square feet under roof. J&B Wood Products is a lumber remanufacturing facility, specializing in the high-quality, less utilized Pacific Northwest hardwoods: Oregon white oak, Pacific madrone, California black oak, and Golden chinquapin. In addition, we reman VG Doug fir and, on a custom basis, Cedar, Ponderosa pine, and Sugar pine. Vertical grain fir and hardwood plank flooring, historical reproduction mouldings and sidings, kiln dried surfaced and graded random width hardwood lumber are our specialties. We also do custom planing, ripping and kiln drying.
