Stephen Fricker teaches guitar and bass to students of all ages, and has instructed thousands of students for over thirty years, both privately and in band and music classes in public schools. He has a Master's Degree in Education. His philosophy, first and foremost, is to impart a love for playing music. He believes that learning an instrument should be a fun and joyous experience, no matter what the students goal is - performance, teaching, or simply personal enjoyment. Stephen is a multi-faceted instrumentalist and composer whose broad repertoire draws upon rock, classical, folk, country, Broadway, blues, jazz, new age, even polkas. As a professional musician he tours North America, performing for discriminating audiences. Stephen is an accomplished accompanist, studio musician and record producer and arranger. He has shared stages with such luminaries as Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary, Tom Paxton, Pete Seeger, Tom Chapin, Livingston Taylor, Jonathan Edwards, Emmylou Harris and Janis Ian, among others, and has recorded with singer-songwriters Patricia Shih, Dennis Cleasby, The Bierkos and Jose Mari Chan. In 2004 he released his first solo CD, The Twelve Guitars of Christmas. Other credits include: community and dinner theatre orchestras; The Winnipeg and Kerrville Folk Festivals, The Souths Largest Childrens Festival, Woodstock 99 and Madison Square Garden; and co-hosting a twice-daily TV show with Patricia Shih on Cablevisions Tell Me A Story.

Our students have been accepted into some of the most prestigious summer training programs in the country including American Ballet Theater, San Francisco Ballet, Boston Ballet, Chautauqua, Miami Ballet, Orlando Ballet, New York State Summer School of the Arts, The Rock School, Walnut Hill School, Joffrey Ballet and Ballet Academy East. Alumni have gone on to dance professionally with companies including New York City Ballet, Pittsburg Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, Ballet Hispanica and MOMIX.
