Dr. Shadle and Dr. Gatschet perform all bariatric procedures (the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, vertical sleeve gastrectomy, and adjustable gastric banding) as well as revisional surgeries laparoscopically. The Sacramento Bariatric and Metabolic Institute boasts a comprehensive bariatric program that includes pre- and postoperative nutritional counseling for patients and their families, as well as support groups, and life-long follow up.
