He is a United States (federal) sex offender evaluator (SOSE and Psychosexual) and treatment provider and a North Carolina Department of Community Corrections sex offender evaluator (SOSE and Psychosexual) and treatment provider. Mr. Gilbert regularly provides case consultation to attorneys throughout the state and testifies for the state and for the defense on his evaluation findings in difficult child sexual abuse, sexual offender, parental fitness, and child custody cases. Mr. Gilbert is a North Carolina Child Welfare Scholar and Rostered North Carolina Trauma Clinician and he treats survivors of child abuse and neglect, adult sexual assault, and trauma survivors.
