We believe that 3D printers provide us an opportunity to solve the world’s greatest problems, including global waste. Right now at 3D Brooklyn, we 3D print with PLA - a recyclable and biodegradable bioplastic made from renewable resources like corn and sugar. Some day very soon we will manufacture all of our designs with post-consumer waste from right here in Brooklyn - the future is a place where everything will be designed, sourced and manufactured (hyper)locally. We dream of a world free of waste and full of economic opportunity, and the path forward for all 7 billion of us exists by turning waste into a resource.
