EBC has always been at the forefront of energy efficient custom home building. This ranges from the construction of the house envelope to using the highest efficiency heating, air conditioning and ventilating systems available and also including photovoltaic and geo-thermal systems and green roofs when designs and budgets allow. Other Green policies we have implemented from our beginning are the recycling of products and fixtures from a home that is scheduled for demolition including donating viable materials to non-profit organizations. Additionally we recycle all waste woods and cardboard, etc. through our waste hauler. We also purchase and install new green technology products that have a proven track record and purchase as much locally made and harvested products as possible from the locations where we are building. To all of us at EBC being environmentally responsible is something we were striving for before it was called “Going Green”. Not because we thought it was good for sales, but because it is now and always has been the right thing to do.
