In 1972 after my service in the Army Idecided to attend Midllesex County College and take advantage of the GI Bill. I chose the Marketing Art and Design Curriculum also known as MAD. It had Photography and Graphic Arts and you were able choose the one you wanted in the second year as your main course. I developed my first roll of film and have been doing what I love since 1972. To me it was like magic and yes, I was hooked. I worked at a wedding studio for 2 years and was trained in Classical Weddings. I remember when the owner said I was going to do a wedding alone. I told him I was not ready. He said I was. It was the most stressful day of my career. I couldn't wait to see the photographs when they came back from the lab. I don't think I slept that week. Everything turned out well. I was now a seasoned photographer. I opened my studio in1976 during the Bi-Centennial. That year I did one wedding, the following year 2 and it doubled the following year. My sister was my partner. It got to where we had to hire other photographers and staff. I did portraits, pageants, weddings and commercial work. My specialty became portraits. I loved to work with people and create Classical Portraits, Pictorials and Contemporary Images for my clients. Beautiful images that would be handed down from generation to generation and displayed proudly on their walls. To me that was priceless. After 27 years I decided to close my studio and work from home. The long hours and opening the doors day after day had gotten tiring. I decided it was time to make a change. I worked as an associates at a studio for a little while and learned about digital first hand. This was great, instant gratification. In a split second I was able to see the image and know if it was good or not. Photography has come a long way and it is exciting. It has rejuvenated the passion and desire to create. I do most of my portrait work on location. Have set up mutual agreements with other studios to use their studio space as needed and it has been working well for me. Location Portraits I enjoy doing because the subject is in their element. This is where they are the most comfortable. This is what represents them and allows them to be their true self. I am available to discuss your needs and wants when it comes to your portrait
