Since 1980, I have been using my bodywork techniques to alleviate the aches and pains of thousands of people suffering from stress, muscle tension, and injury. I draw upon my knowledge and experience with the variety of different therapies I have studied, and bring mindfulness and caring to each individual. A professional massage therapist, I graduated from Mueller College of Massage, The Old Traditional Medicine Hospital of Chiang Mai, Thailand,and The Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia. I have taken and continue to attend numerous continuing education workshops to stay current in techniques and therapies to provide the most comprehensive massage services to my clients at Healing Bodywork. In the past, I worked at The Resort at Squaw Creek and The Squaw Valley Lodge in Squaw Valley, where I provided massage services to their numerous guests, including celebrities, and managed the massage department at the Squaw Valley Lodge.

Lisa began her training in massage in Japan while attending Saiko Gakuen Shonan Medical Walfare School also known as Shonan College, a well known medical college that prepares students for careers in medical massage and acupuncture. The school curriculum was 2396 hours long and also required taking and passing the National License exams as a graduation requirement. Lisa graduated in March 1974 and began working as a medical massage therapist in a very busy medical massage practice in Yokohama, Japan. Lisa worked within the John Muir/Mt Diablo Health Care System for over 10 years before moving to Folsom, CA where she opened her practice in 2001. She works closely with your doctor and other health care providers to help you obtain and maintain your muscular health. She is well known & well liked throughout the local community & the medical and massage world. She was the first massage therapist in Folsom to receive the certification from the California Massage Therapy Counsel as a CMT.
