Our History If you have ever wondered what K/M stands for? It stands for Kevin, Kraig, Kelli and Michael the founder of K/M Resorts Douglas James McLeod’s’ children. He purchased the first resort Travel Inn in 1987. He then went on to purchase 7 more parks. Ocean Mist 1989, Diamond Point 1992, Old American 1994, Columbia Shores 1997, Maple Grove 2000, Ponderosa Falls 2003 and Ocean Breeze in 2011. Our Owners Douglas J. McLeod started K/M Resorts of America Inc. in 1987 with Travel Inn Resort. He has been in the campground resort business for over 27 years and the Real Estate business for the past 30 years. He has an extensive background in Sales and Marketing as the past President of Uniland Investments and has served as a real estate and membership camping consultant throughout the United States. Doug has previous experience in the campground industry. Kevin McLeod has an extensive background in Real Estate and development. Kevin is in charge of construction development and acquisitions, and has also been involved in the overall management of the company since 1989. Kelli Abercrombie has a degree in Marketing and runs the marketing departments for K/M Resorts of America Inc. She is also manages the administration support staff at the Fife Corporate office. She has been a part of K/M since 2000. Our Mission To provide safe, affordable, private resorts, with activities for our members to enjoy. Our goal is to be the leader in reciprocal campground systems in the Northwest.
