Dr. Dario’s educational and professional background is somewhat unusual for a Prosthodontist, having been a structural Civil Engineer. This pre-dental training gives him a unique perspective in the diagnosis and design of complicated Oral Reconstructions to enhance their long term prognosis. At the highest level of complication, Prosthodontics and Oral Rehabilitation is as much of an art form as it is a science. Knowing exactly what to do, and how and when to do it, can only come from experience and the resultant development of clinical judgment. Dr. Dario has over 30 years of experience creating well over 50,000 teeth for essentially every clinical situation. Before coming to Rhode Island, he was privileged to work as an associate for several world-class Prosthodontists to learn and develop technique and further refine his clinical judgment by observing treatments dating back to the 1950s. His teaching as a Professor in the undergraduate and post-doctoral dental programs at Tufts further enhanced his diagnostic acumen by interacting with academic colleagues.
