Dr. Clymer is a facial plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, nose, eyelids, head and neck. Dr. Clymer is currently in private practice in Nashville, Tennessee, and specializes in facial cosmetic surgery that is centered on delivering a natural look. As the solo practitioner and president of Clymer Facial Plastic Surgery, he can keep the direction of his practice focused on excellence and patient care in a comfortable, supportive and completely confidential environment. This commitment to quality patient care is exemplified by Dr. Clymer’s involvement as a member of the medical advisory board of a local surgery center. For nearly 15 years, his artistic vision combined with scientific methods, in addition to his commitment to quality care for patients, have been the hallmarks of Clymer Facial Plastic Surgery’s success. Dr. Clymer is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is also a member of the AMA and Tennessee Medical Association, and has an appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He has authored journal articles and textbook chapters in the field of facial plastic surgery and has served as the guest editor for the journal Facial Plastic Surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa, graduating with Honors and High Distinction, and earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, and then went on to complete his fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York.
