My dad started in insurance in 1979, running two agencies (in Albertville and Huntsville) for 33 years. And while I started down a different road when I entered Auburn University, when I realized the great opportunity my dad had, I tacked on a business minor to my science major and began work for him after graduation. In April 2006, I purchased my own agency across from the Post Office here in Guntersville (where I live with my wife and three daughters). Then I bought my dad’s agencies in 2012 and a fourth agency in Arab in 2014. We’re members of the Guntersville Rotary Club, Guntersville Chamber of Commerce, Marshall Young Professionals, and the local chapter of Business Network International. We support Hospice of Marshall County and The Ogden House, the teen shelter here. We also pick up the tab when our staff goes on a mission trip and offer them a week’s paid time off to do so, because helping keep your community healthy and your team happy is the right thing to do.
