When you return to the campground, you can check out a yard game, take a dip in the heated pool, toss horseshoes or just relax by a campfire.

Since John and Betty Bennett opened their horse farm to guests in 1962, Hoofbeat Ridge has been like home to thousands of campers who have gained self-reliance, self-respect and self-confidence through its programs. Hoofbeat Ridge is a friendly place. It is filled with country animals, activities, beautiful hills, and sunsets, with a comfortable homey-style that emphasizes fun. Camp Owners/Directors Ted and Mary Bennett-Marthe and their experienced staff carry on the Bennett tradition. This family atmosphere makes Hoofbeat Ridge a special place for campers while giving parents the confidence that their children are in capable hands. At Hoofbeat Ridge Camps, we offer: ♦ Resident Camps ♦ Day Camps ♦ Off-Season Programs Camp owner/director, Ted Marthe, has a BS degree in Recreation and Social Work. He also has a Masters Degree in Environmental Education Administration. A Certified Camp Director (CCD), he has directed day and resident camps since 1971. His wife, Mary, assists him in the operation of the camp, in addition to raising their five children, Amy, Jason, David, Joshua and Jacob. Camp staff participate in a week-long training program prior to the opening of camp. Riding instructors are certified through the Horsemanship Safety Association. Our Health Director takes care of health concerns and, if needed, an excellent medical clinic is located only 5 miles from Hoofbeat. The staff-to-camper ratio is one-to-four.
