"History First Class Child Development Center is dedicated to the education of children. First Class Child Development Center is not a day care facility, although care for children is available from 6:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. It is not a mother’s day out program, although children may participate on a part time basis. First Class utilizes a hands-on curriculum that offers all children a learning environment that gifted and talented children might experience. By doing so, the goal is to provide children with problem solving skills and to reach each child to his/her fullest potential. However, cognitive development is not emphasized to the exclusion of other areas of development. With low student to staff ratios, professional faculty, and developmentally appropriate materials and equipment, First Class Child Development Center strives to nurture the whole child including physical, social and emotional growth, in addition to cognitive development, all of which are integral parts of our program. Your participation as a partner in your child’s early learning experience is important to us. This handbook will help answer many of the questions that you might have about our program and administrative procedures. Please feel free to speak with one of our center’s directors regarding any questions you may have about the education of your child. At First Class Child Development Center, we believe young children need a warm, nurturing environment that fosters self-esteem, encourages curiosity and provides a wide variety of positive experiences to set the stage for a lifetime of creative living and learning. Children who work at tasks that they think are valuable, feel good about themselves. This positive self-image empowers them to try more and more complex tasks.
