Welcome to I Am Magic Foundation! Located at Black Forest Farm, LLC. I Am Magic Foundation, Inc. has proudly served the community since 2009 by letting "horses help people discover their... magic." Conveniently located at 2132 County Road F in Barneveld, the I Am Magic Foundation, Inc. uses equine assisted learning to help area youth and veteran groups overcome challenges and lead more productive lives. We use horses because they are excellent mirrors of human emotion. As prey animals, they are hyperaware of their environment and those in it. In their herds, partnership, leadership and a strong sense of community are essential to survival. Click here to learn more about our Philosophy & Mission. Partnership We work with horses in ways that horses want to work with us. It is a relationship born of partnership rather than control and dominance. We believe that learning to partner with horses brings out the best performance in both people and horses and is a cooperative skill that transfers to relationships people have with others as well. Leadership The language of horses is leadership. In their herd, they simply want to know where they fit in the hierarchy. As people working with horses, we want to establish a leadership role with our horses based on trust and mutual consideration that our horses respect. Community Horses, companion animals and people are social creatures. A key to successful living is knowing how to get along in our social groups or community and have a sense of purposeful living. All people and animals have special gifts. No one is good at everything, but everyone is good at something. It is your "magic" or special talents that make you uniquely valuable and collectively powerful. Our Community of Partners The I Am Magic Foundation gathers some of its strength through its generous and committed partners. Black Forest Farm, LLC is the host facility for our program. The I Am Magic Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your direct donations or sponsorship of equine facilitators, rescue companion animals or support of specific programs is fully tax-deductible.
