My services are designed to assist you gain mastery over depression, anxiety, stress and doubt through learning how to listen to your inner wisdom and tap into your inner strengths. I have worked as a therapist for 20 years. I utilize a modality, which, in agreement with the person seeking services, will best motivate desired change. I employ a variety of therapeutic interventions, which I have been trained to perform. My specialty, for the past seven years, is working with children, adolescents and young adults who have been victims of trauma, neglect and abuse. These years have included work with children who have Asperger’s Syndrome Disorder or Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder. I have also worked successfully with adults who have presented, individually or in couples, with a variety of emotional issues. Individual therapy for children and young adults consists of differing activities to assist the victims process their experiences. The group therapy consists of children of the same gender and age, working to help express their emotions in a safe and positive environment. The program utilizes outdoor adventures to assist with an understanding of their heritage and surroundings . This process aids children to actualize their relationship to past experiences and helps normalize these experiences, which promotes growth towards becoming prosperous men and women. Due to the gender sensitivity in some of the projects, we also utilize the knowledge of elders and members of the community to assist our children.
