At Long Island Montessori School your child learns at his/her own pace, naturally and spontaneously, and they learn how to care for themselves and their environment. Excellent work habits, a sense of order and respect for the equipment are happy results that give them confidence long after their Montessori years. Long Island Montessori School offers a first grade and a full day kindergarten program, allowing those children who are eligible to continue their quest for knowledge in a small group environment. The school year is September through June, Monday to Friday. First grade and kindergarten programs are 8:30 am to 2:30 pm; nursery and pre- kindergarten programs are 9:00 am to 12 noon. Extended hours are 8 to 9 am and 12 noon to 4:00 pm.
