The Humane Society of Carroll County, Inc., established in mid 1940’s, attempts to alleviate the pain and suffering of animals. We also educate the public about the needs of domestic animals, shelter the lost/unwanted, reunite and adopt as many as possible, enforce the laws pertaining to their regulation and humane keeping. All dogs 4 months of age/older must have a valid rabies inoculation and a current annual Carroll County dog license. Microchip implants are permanent and the very best way to be sure your animal will be returned to you. We scan every animal for a chip at entry. We try to the best of our ability to work with the public to reconcile the issues brought to our attention through education, advice, mediation and enforcement if and when necessary.
