With nursing staff available on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, higher care needs can be managed more comprehensively. Supportive services are available to seniors who need post-operative and post-stroke rehabilitation, help with activities of daily living, and mobility assistance for such neuromuscular conditions as multiple sclerosis, ALS, Parkinson’s or muscular dystrophy. All personal caregivers have been certified in Carlton’s nationally recognized Advanced Caregiver Training (ACT) program, which enhances their understanding of these diseases and their appropriate treatments. Two other award-winning care programs are available: diabetes management; and balance fitness and mobility assistance.
