This Vermont lodging was built in 1890 by Edward Sinclair. This fine woodcraftsman and building contractor built this stunning house for his bride to be. No other home in the area has the exquisite woodwork and detail that this inn features. Edward and his wife turned their residence into an inn around the turn of the century when a small hotel nearby burned to the ground. They took it upon themselves to welcome weary travelers that came through town. The house returned to a private residence in 1957 after Edward passed away and his wife moved to Ohio. At that time the inn became known as “Rest Haven” This wonderful home became a bed and breakfast in the late 80’s after the home changed hands again. Over the next 15 years, this bed and breakfast went through extensive remodeling, renovation and upgrades. The house remained in immaculate shape and still features original crown moldings, rugs, hardwood flooring and stained glass. Modern amenities have also been added to accent the many original pieces. The living room and fireplace beckon you to relax and curl up with a good book and then to bed between freshly ironed sheets. Our New England Bed and Breakfast offers six magnificent rooms for you to choose from. Each room features either a King or a Queen sized bed. The room feature custom shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Hairdryers are available for guests use as is an iron and ironing board. Each room is air conditioned during summer months. Any one of our New England Bed and Breakfast accommodations will be perfect for your vacation getaway. Anytime of the year is a great time to visit our Vermont lodging.
