As a traditional "Mexican Restaurant" La Carreta rates a slight cut above either Taco Bell or "Burritos-R-Us". Either I've been spoiled by good Sinola/Sonora cuisine or the Charleston, SC public has been duped by the late, great Chihuahua, "Yo quiero Taco Bell". I inquired if they served Menudo and the blank stare was as startling as the silence. The refried beans were kissing cousins of canned "Old El Paso" if not direct decendents.
