Dr. Nanavati is an interventional invasive cardiologist practicing in San Diego, California. He was recruited to California from Ohio in 1997 to initiate a quality Cardiology program for the people living on the Northern Coast of California. He inaugurated the Arcata Heart Care Program and was the director of their first Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Mad River Hospital. He then made his home in Redding, just 100 miles West of Arcata to be focus more on in terventional Cardiology aspect of his Practice. Dr. Nanavati now lives in San Diego and is privileged to serve the patients of San Diego Area since 2005. He performs cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, coronary stent deployment, intracoronary ultrasound, and doppler flow measurements in the coronary artery. He also provides the complete array of noninvasive diagnostic test s such as echocardiography, stress testing, pacemaker follow-up and EKG testing . Since March 2002, he has added EECP, the only noninvasive therapy for an gina not amenable to intervention or bypass surgery. Dr. Nanavati main goal in the care of his patients is the prevention not just treatment of the catastrophic complications of heart disease.Dr. Nanavati received his medical training in Chicago, Illinois, where he grew up. After finishing his fellowship training at the University of Illinois in 1993, he traveled to Ohio where he was in practice until 1997. He is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. Dr Nanavati is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Cardiac A ngiography and Interventions, the California State Medical Society, and the San Diego County Medical Society. Dr. Nanavati considers it a privilege to serve patients with h eart conditions.
