Welcome to Colors of Joy Child Care! Colors of Joy Childcare is owned and operated by Margaret Mays. Margaret is a mother of 15 wonderful children and a grandmother of 17. She has dedicated a good part of her life to caring for her children and others within the community whether it is friends or neighbors. There are no words to describe the love she has for her chosen profession. There is no greater Joy that Margaret feels when seeing the expression on a child's face who has just discovered and fulfilled something new and wonderful for the first time on their own. Margaret strives to improve the quality of care that she provides to the children in her care by staying informed and involved within the childcare provider community allowing herself to be educated on childcare laws, mandates, new learning methods and activities. In May of 2005 Margaret successfully completed her A.A.S by attending over 120 hours of childcare related classes along with written and oral testing that involved on-site observation. As a level B childcare provider it is mandated that her in home childcare stay current with Infant and child CPR that requires 12 training hours per year of early childhood learning. Colors of Joy Childcare provides a daily learning curriculum for preschoolers. The program is designed to meet the developmental needs of young children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. The children are given the experience that enhances and enriches each child's cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical and creative development. Within Colors of Joy Child Care's daily schedule, each child has opportunities to create, explore the environment, develop problem solving skills, personal interaction skills and to develop concepts through experiences. Colors of Joy childcare offers programs that are designed with developmentally appropriate activities that stimulate a child’s intellectual, social, emotional and physical growth. while providing a warm, caring and fun environment. Margaret's approach is to help stimulate the children's natural curiosity and support personal expression. This type of interaction will help develop your child's communication, reasoning, problem solving skills and all all around social skills. You can rest assure that your child is safe and receiving the love and Joy as Margaret has been providing for many years! Your child will receive breakfast, morning snack, lunch, evening snack and dinner depending on the shift the parent works. All payment methods are accepted!
