We are dedicated to helping our patients get free of pain, and to be able to return to their normal lives as quickly as possible. As a chiropractic physician, it is my goal to help each of my patients regain or maintain their health without drugs and surgery. I believe that the human body has the innate ability to live a healthy and pain free life when the nervous system is not inhibited or impinged by skeletal misalignments, nutritional deficiencies, improper diet or dietary habits, consumption of poisons and toxins, and free of injuries. My chiropractic techniques involve corrections of spinal misalignments, which pinch on the nerves, misalignments of the extremities (arms and legs) which affect walking, lifting, bending, moving, and also distortions of the cranial vault (skull) and temporomandibular joint (jaw). The brain and spinal cord are contained within the skull and spinal column. They are encased in a membrane sack, called the dura matter. Around the brain there is a fluid called csf (cerebro-spinal fluid) which allows the nerves to fire. Cranial (skull) adjustments improve the flow of csf around the nervous system which increases nerve activity. Misalignments of the skull can also produce abnormal motion of the jaws which can cause popping, cracking, locking and pain. We open and close our jaws approximately 2000 times per day. Misalignments can cause destruction of these joints over time. I am also certified in veterinary chiropractic spinal technique and have received the Certified Veterinary Chiropractitioner certificate in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation. I am a Diplomat of the International Craniopathic Society with 32 years of experience in correcting spinal and cranial misalignments using Sacro -Occipital Technique (sottm). This is a specialized technique that very few chiropractors have training in because of its complexity. It requires a great deal of training and skill to recognize the signs and indications of problems within the body and have the knowledge to correct them. I am one of only 300 chiropractors worldwide with this specialized training. I am president of the Sacro Occipital Research Society International and the International Craniopathic Society. I am the author of Iso-Cranial Technique, a gentle and effective procedure for reestablishing the orientation of the cranial vault. This has been shown to be effective in treating headaches, sinus congestion, facial and jaw pain and improving the overall appearance of the face by creating symmetry of the bone structure.
