We still use the good book and the hymn book! Midway Baptist Church of Leesburg, FL is a loving congregation, where we still use the Bible and sing the hymns of the faith. Our choir is very popular in the community. Our soloists perform Southern Gospel songs, and some are well known in the area. Our worship schedule is: Sunday School for All Ages at 9:30 AM Sunday Worship Service at 10:30 AM Sunday Evening Service at 6 PM Wednesday Prayer Meeting at 6 PM Child care is available every Sunday morning by a volunteer staff who have undergone background checks and extensive annual training sessions. You can rest assured that your little one will be loved and safe while you enjoy church like it used to be. We have a beautiful, handicapped accessible sanctuary, with no access steps or inclines. We are currently expanding our Fellowship Hall and have remodeled our Education Building. We have plans to expand our sanctuary in 2 years. Dr. Alan Holden is our pastor. He has been our pastor for over 4 years. Under his leadership we have grown from 45 to over 120. He feeds us encouraging words from the Bible, using humor, good ole fashioned preaching, and imagination to help us better understand God's Word and His Will for our lives. Under his leadership, we have purchased land for additional parking and are planning to expand and improve our facilities. Each month we have: First Wednesday night dinners. JOY (Just Older Youth) Fellowship lunches on the first Friday of the month for our senior adults. Women's Mission Luncheon on the third Saturday of the month. Men's Prayer Breakfast on the fourth Saturday of the month. We host Southern Gospel concerts each quarter. Annual Events include: Thanksgiving Dinner on the Grounds, Christmas Singing, C's for Cancer Homecoming Gospel Concert, Easter, Revival Service...
