A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, observing the two ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. Each congregation operates under the Lordship of Christ through democratic processes. In such a congregation each member is responsible and accountable to Christ as Lord. Its scriptural officers are pastors and deacons. While both men and women are gifted for service in the church, the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture. Baptism & the Lord's Supper Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members. Memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming. Evangelism & Missions It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. To seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by verbal witness undergirded by a Christian lifestyle, and by other methods in harmony with the gospel of Christ. The Lord's Day The first day of the week is the Lord's Day. It commemorates the resurrection of Christ from the dead and should be employed in exercises of worship and spiritual devotion. Last Things God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell. The righteous. will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.

You are never a stranger at F.O.R. -Real life preaching -Ongoing personal growth -Climate of acceptance -Keeping structure simple -Investing lives in ministry -Encouraging one another -Small groups for everyone F.O.R. purpose statement Fellowship of the Rockies exists to reach mankind for Christ and then to develop them into a mature follower of Jesus Christ. Statement of beliefs About God God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three (3) personalities: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal and are one God. About Jesus Jesus Christ is the Son of God, virgin born. He is equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. About the holy spirit The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer at least one spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily. About the Bible The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. About mankind People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life. About salvation Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ and receiving God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus we’re saved.Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. About eternity We will exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness.
