In 1979, Mike Pettit gained employment with Washington Natural Gas as a Helper installing wall furnaces, conversion burners and water heaters. Two years later after completing WNG Service School he became a service technician in the Tacoma Area repairing and inspecting all types of gas fired equipment including boilers, water heaters and furnaces. In 1992 Mike and Jessica Pettit opened Gas Appliance Service which was incorporated in 1996 as Gasworks, Inc. and left employment of Washington Natural Gas in 1993. Gasworks, Inc. services gas and electric furnaces, pool, spa and water heaters. Gas fired dryers and ranges are also repaired by Gasworks, Inc. Most manufacturers of water heaters use Gasworks, Inc. as a warranty service provider. Mike has served on the Clover Park Community College HVAC Advisory Board for several years. In 2008, Mike completed for a second time the A. O. Smith Commercial Service School in Nashville Tennessee. Mike is certified as an Electrical Administrator and Electrician in HVAC/R 06A and Appliance Repair 07D categories. Gasworks, Inc. is licensed as a General Contractor and Electrical Contractor as required to perform repairs and installation of HVAC equipment. Mike has over 35 years in the HVAC trade and is called upon by many for his expertise and experience.
