Midwest Performing Arts provides a professional and encouraging environment in which our students can learn the art of dance while also learning skills needed for a successful life. We believe that introducing and enriching people’s lives in dance is a wonderful gift that will last forever. Our progressive program offers training in dance technique grounded in Ballet, Modern and Jazz Dance, while including Tap and Hip Hop styles of dance. It is important as a dancer to have a well rounded education in many different forms of dance. Our schedule and curriculum allow each and every student to learn in many genres. The faculty are highly trained professional instructors with degrees in dance and professional performance experience and all use positive reinforcement to help students in attaining goals. MPA is housed in a state of the art dance facility with proper dance floors for safety, a comfortable waiting area for parents and visitors, and in a location easily assessable to the community.

The Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Madison opened in January of 2008 at 7701 Mineral Point Road, Madison, WI 53717 with the realization of a lifelong dream for its owners, Peter and Linda Goethche. Most recently we have opened a location at 1714 Eagan Road, Madison, WI 53714, to allow us to serve dancers on the East side. The Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Madison are deeply invested in the Madison Community, providing educational services to both students of the studio as well as the community at large. The studio is very active in community projects, taking the joys of ballroom dancing into local elementary and high school and other public venues. The Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Madison is a proud sponsor of many area charities and service organizations. Fred Astaire Madison West is a proud member of the Middleton Chamber of Commerce, and has won the “Best Dance Instructor” Award from Wisconsin Bride Magazine 5 years in a row! Here, we are aware of the wide array of advantages of ballroom dancing, ranging from increased health to a more active social life. Our mission is to share our knowledge and expertise, introducing people in the Madison area to these benefits through community outreach and exciting events.
